This is a foundry bronze piece - created using the lost wax method. I sculpted it directly in wax, after experimenting with various designs using wire and clay. It is therefore a one-off and not part of a series.

Foundry Bronze method:
The wax model is invested in a ceramic shell, put in a kiln to burn out the wax and the shell is then filled with the molten bronze. After a clean up and patina, the end result is a stunning piece of art that will last forever.
The horse is mounted on a jesmonite stone base and weighs 3590grams.
